In a coming-of-age drama, Haitian-American Camille Jean-Pierre learns that today's America isn't as progressive as she thought and is faced with an ultimatum. She must wrestle with choosing to keep her crowning glory, her dreadlocks, deemed unprofessional by the administration, or her hard-earned spot on the high school debate team before the final debate competition of the year.
